Christopher Arnold-Long Harker, age 48, of Nottawa, passed away on September 23, 2024, at his home following a brief illness. He was born on November 6, 1975, in Kalamazoo, the son of Brenda Long and Ralph Harker. Chris graduated from Mendon High School in 1994 where he participated in wrestling and was a member of the 1993 state championship football team. He worked several jobs in his early years in farming, factory work, maintenance at cemeteries, and for Pipers Grinders in Constantine. Chris loved attending concerts, trips to Disney in Florida, going to the Blue Gate, working on cars and motors, and was an avid Michigan football fan.

He is survived by his wife Aimee Vantrease Harker of Nottawa, mother Brenda (Tom) Selvage of Sturgis, stepmother Annie Harker of Howe, IN, stepdaughter Corena (Tanner) Clevenger of Nottawa, great niece and sidekick Airabella Fuller of Nottawa, sister Melissa (Mike) McCann of Centreville, stepsisters Caressa (Lincoln) Thompson of Topeka, IN, Marci Cleveland of Topeka, IN, Aunt Carol (Don) Glant of Burr Oak, nieces and nephews Tyler, Alyssa, Haylee, Lex, Hendrix, Ellie and Hudson and his bad kitty Roscoe. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Harker, and grandparents Arnold and Rhea Long, and Willard and Barb Harker.

Relatives and friends will be received Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, where religious services will be held at 1 pm. Pastor Russ Stauffer will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to Mendon Schools, in memo line please write football.
