Charles "Charlie" Henderson, age 46 of Elkhart, IN, passed away unexpectedly while camping Sunday, August 11th, 2013 in Cassopolis, MI. He was born on October 1, 1966 in Elkhart, a son of Elmer and Mildred Inez (Collins) Henderson. Charlie received his Bachelor Degree in Business from Oakland City University. He worked at Thor Industries in Elkhart and was a member of Zion Missionary Church in Elkhart.Charlie enjoyed auto racing and slot cars and had previously been a driver. He also loved to camp and travel, especially spending time with family and friends. Surviving are his son Joshua (Anna) Henderson of Muskegon, MI, sister Deanna (Mark) Henderson of Three Rivers, MI, brothers Richard (Malinda) Henderson of Ligonier, IN, Brian (Josette) Henderson of Parrish, FL, Charlies girlfriend Gidget Fields and her son Franklin Pick of Elkhart, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jamie Hershberger. Relatives and friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, MI. Religious Services will be held at the Funeral Home at 10 A.M. on Friday, August 16th, with Pastor Dale Turner officiating. Interment of Ashes will be held at a later date at White Pigeon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association. Online messages may be left for the family below.
