Carol J. Deller, age 75 of Kalamazoo and formerly Constantine, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Vibrant Life Senior Living in Kalamazoo. She was born September 5, 1947 in Detroit, a daughter of Alfred and Marcella (Lutey) Dentzer. She graduated from Redford High School and later Albion College.On June 21, 1969 Carol married Jack Deller in Detroit. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2001.

Carol taught at White Pigeon and Constantine Public Schools for 30 years. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority at Albion College. Carol had attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Constantine where she was active in the church choir for many years. She loved to travel, especially to Mexico with her family, friends and students where she could practice her Spanish. She also loved to spend summers in Glen Arbor. Carol especially loved attending her grandchildren's school activities.

Surviving are her children, Laura (Brad) March, Jenison, Brian (Michole) Deller, Climax, Matt (Elisabeth) Deller, Northville, Sarah (Matt) Schaefer, Marysville,OH; and several loving grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Relatives and friends will be received Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Derl Keefer officiating. A private family interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Empire, MI.
