Brenda Lee Bertrem, 65 of Constantine, passed away December 26, 2023 at her home.  She was born in Bremerhaven, Germany on April 18, 1958, a daughter of Kenneth and Elsie (Siebel) Hoople.  Brenda attended Oregon High School in Oregon, IL.  She married Thomas Guentert in May of 1975 in Oregon, IL; he preceded her in death on February 8, 2009.  On July 4, 2009, she married Clarence Bertrem in Elkhart; he preceded her in death on February 7, 2019.  Brenda worked as a CNA for various nursing homes in Illinois for several years.  She was also employed by Coast Co. in Elkhart.  Brenda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with family, cooking, baking and doing cross stitch and crossword puzzles. Brenda was a very kind person who was always willing to help anyone who needed.

Brenda is survived by her daughter Laci (Kory) Westendorf of Constantine and son Jeremy Guentert of Byron, IL; grandchildren Riley, Maya, Alexandra, Lucas, Kristopher, Kalie, Jase, Jayden, Nickolas, and Noah; sisters Annie Young, Shelly Meader, and Peggy Hoople; and brother Scott Savage.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and daughter Megan Guentert.
