Brenda Kay Aikin, age 56
of Constantine, MI,
passed away Tuesday, January 6th, at Sturgis Hospital. She was born in Elkhart, IN on February 16, 1958, a daughter of LaVern and Patricia (Geary) Aikin. Brenda was enrolled in the day program at Adopt in Sturgis. She enjoyed going bowling, competing in Special Olympics, coloring, writing, and story-telling.
Brenda is survived by two sisters, Deborah Buckley, of Constantine, Lisa (Carl) Kline, of Mottville; brother, Michael (Donna) Aikin, of Ft. Wayne; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday from 3-4 with a Memorial service at 4pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine with Pastor John Utley of Radiant Life Church, Elkhart, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
