Bernadette J Freer, age 79 of Middlebury, IN, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Life Care Center of LaGrange. She was born July 16, 1946 in Midland, MI, a daughter of Earl R. and Esther M. (Potts) Miller.  Bernadette graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. She was a life long homemaker and enjoyed crochet, advanced coloring books, diamond art and puzzles.

Surviving are her children Patrick (Sherry) Peavey, Kalamazoo, LeAnn (Jim Gillespie) Peavey, Toledo, OH, Brian Peavey, MI, Amy (Robert) Pratt, Middlebury, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.  She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Amanda Peavey.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
