Barbara Jean Schaeffer, age 85 of Sturgis, passed away June 2, 2022 at Fairview Living Center in Centreville. She was born March 9, 1937 in Three Rivers, a daughter of Harry and Zelma (Schultz) Kline. On June 5, 1959 she married Richard "Dick" Froman in Three Rivers. He preceded her in death February 24, 2006. She later married Gary Schaeffer in March 2015 in Ft. Myers, FL.

Barbara worked in the cafeteria at Centreville Public Schools and previously worked at Sand Lake Party Store. She attended Centreville Baptist Church, Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis, and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ft. Myers, FL. Barbara enjoyed gardening and home decorating, especially loving the "country" stye.

Surviving are her husband Gary Schaeffer, Sturgis; son Brett (Liz) Froman, Centreville; granddaughter Michelle Froman, step granddaughter Andrea Donaldson, step great grandchildren Taylor Donaldson and Kylie Donaldson; sister Lois Boulette, Three Rivers; and brothers Wayne Kline, Centreville, Roger Kline, Three Rivers, and Richard Kline, Lake Havasu City, AZ, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Froman, father Harry Kline, mother Zelma Akins, brothers Ivan Kline, Donald Kline, Arden Kline, and step grandson Ed Westendorf.
