Arthur E. Everett, age 81 of Vicksburg, died Sunday, August 18th, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born in Centreville on January 9, 1932, a son of Arthur and Eula (Mercer) Everett. Art graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1949 and attended Parsons Business School. He worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Vicksburg for 30 yrs. retiring in 1988. Art also worked for Paper City Motor Sales, Pontiac Cadillac dealer in Kalamazoo and Heehler Maher/Krum Chevrolet in Vicksburg in the parts department in the late 50's. He also worked part time as a farmer raising Polled Herford Cattle. Art enjoyed collecting antique cars and square dancing.



Surviving are his daughters Sandie Wilson of Tucson, AZ, Jerrie Lynne (Robert) Daniels of Cedar Crest, NM, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a brother Theodore (Thelma) Everett of Vicksburg, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Richard A. Everett and son-in-law John Wilson.



Graveside Services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Constantine Township Cemetery. Pastor Tim Boles of the Vicksburg Community Baptist Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your choice of charity. Online messages may be left for the family below.
