Alice E. Mann, age 90 of Lake Templene, died August 13, 2023 at her home. She was born July 16, 1933 in Ross County, Ohio a daughter of Jacob and Gladys (Pierce) Kuhn. Alice graduated from Constantine High School in 1951. She later received her Associates Degree from Glen Oaks Community College, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Michigan University in 1982, graduating Cum Laude.

Alice married Clarence Furey January 27, 1951 at the Constantine United Methodist Church. They were later divorced. On December 23, 1974 she married John R. "Jack" Mann. He preceded her in death March 20, 2018.

Alice worked several years as an advertising layout specialist for the Trading Post and Shoppers Guide papers. She also served as substitute teacher throughout St. Joseph County schools and as an art teacher at Glen Oaks Community College.

Alice enjoyed cake decorating for family and friends, her flower gardens, pottery and painting. She loved to travel, especially to her home in Crystal River, Florida and celebrating the holidays with her family.

Surviving are her children John (Sheryl) Furey, Carolyn (Thomas) Ziemianski, Dave (Yasa Nechaeva) Furey and Scott Furey, grandchildren James Mohney, Nicole Sexton, Colby Furey, Mark Ziemianski, Karen Ziemianski, Jake Furey and Zoya Nechaeva, several great and great great grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents Jacob Kuhn and Gladys Neff, grandson Christopher Mohney, sister Mary Wittenberg and brother John Kuhn.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Sunday September 24, 2023 from 2 - 4 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, where a Memorial service will follow at 4 pm. Pastor David Peterson will officiate. Interment of Ashes will take place later at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph County Commission On Aging.
