Ailleen Bell Avery, age 67 of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Centreville. Ailleen was born in Three Rivers on June 5, 1947, a daughter of Leslie and Edna (Wright) Featherstone. On October 1, 1962 she married Donald E. Avery in Centreville. She had previously worked for Harmon Dudd Marina on Klinger Lake, ACM Plastics in Sturgis, and Bright & Clean Laundry in Sturgis, from which she retired in 2000.

Surviving Ailleen are her husband, Donald E. Avery, sons Dallas and William Avery of Sturgis, sister Mary Bronstetter, brothers Paul (Gail) Featherstone; Lloyd Featherstone; and Carl (Shirley) Featherstone, all of Constantine. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother George Featherstone.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public services. Arrangements were entrusted to Eley Funeral Homes in Constantine.
